Big Ben and the London Eye
Clock a little clock, wheel a little wheel. No big whoop.

A closer shot of Big Ben
This was the earlier part of the evening, when I was still looking for the theatre.

Big Ben by night
Camera struggles. Night shots--not so good, unless you carry a tripod for your arm.

Parliament
I bought this Puzz 3-D in London. Pretty good, huh?

Buckingham Palace
Home of 80 zillion pigeons.

The fountain in front of Buckingham Palace
One view...

Another view of the fountain
...and another of same.

Inside Charing Cross Station
I'd eaten. I'd found the theatre. I'd wandered. I was bored!

Waiting for Jesus
This guy was hanging outside the station: "Mr. Christ, your limousine awaits."

The Churchill Statue
Cranky old bastard. And damn sunset! Oh, well. At this point, I was running out of time.

Women in WWII
I thought this was cool. Of course, it does leave a bunch of naked scuplted women running around the streets of London...

Trafalgar Square
OK, people were holding out their arms and letting pigeons land on them. Um, an equation. Pigeons = flying rats. Gross.

Trafalgar Square by night
This is where the camera really leapt into the crapper. Night shots take at least 10 seconds to take, and so there are motion issues. Arg. Happy squinting!

Trafalgar Lion
RARR!

St. Margaret's Church (or part of it)
Part of Westminster Abbey

The entrance to Westminster Abbey
Pow.

Approaching Westminster Abbey from the side
Yep, another "another view" picture.

A guard (not what you're thinking of)
The worst job in the world. I tried to be more discreet than the boy before me, who took his photo from ten inches away...

The Guard Memorial
Speaks for itself.

How I found Equus
The Gielgud is being restored, which meant no pretty theatre, but the ginormous picture of Harry Potter's torso was the only reason I found it.

My awesome seat
An illicit photo! Blow up to full size to appreciate--I could've hit the actors with a wrench, or something similarly heavy.

County Hall
Taken from across the river.

The Thames
"Thames" always makes me think of Dick Van Dyke drawing chalk pictures on the sidewalk--"Punting on the Thames."

Piccadilly Circus
Overheard: "This is like Times Square...it's cozy. Except for all the old people." And yes, judging by this bimbette's accent, she was American.

Regent Street
A street.

More Beavis, more Butt-head
Another nod to Mr. Creller's son.

G8 Protestors
These guys were all over, but some of the other demonstrations were visceral enough that I thought photographing them and posting the pictures would be a little tasteless. On TV that night, I saw a German demostration. Unlike their British counterparts, the Germans were naked. FYI.

My room in Luton
As taken from the toilet. Not while in use! Gross!! It just happened to provide the best view.

Another view
And another shot of the same.
